What does a fishing charter cost?

First Fish Charters has a range of salmon fishing packages. We can arrange a fishing trip that works for you, from half-day excursions to full-day adventures. We can accommodate up to 6 passengers on our 30-foot Boston Whaler. Charters depart from the Public Dock in Horseshoe Bay (6705 Nelson Street), West Vancouver or the Union Steamship Marine Resort Snug Cove (431 Bowen Island Trunk Road), Bowen Island.

Burrard Inlet

This five hour charter is perfect for all levels of anglers who want to spend only a portion of their day fishing. We fish as close as 10 minutes from our dock in Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver. You have the option of setting traps for Dungeness or Spot Prawns on this trip.

Howe Sound

Our most popular tour package! The added time allows us to travel to multiple fishing locations between 10 and 30 minutes from Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver. This significantly improves your chances of success, as the salmon tend to move around depending on tides, feeding patterns and migration.

Georgia Straight

This tour package represents our best value and your best opportunity for success! It gives us the ability to fish through two tide changes (the most active time for feeding salmon) and at multiple fishing locations. It also provides the greatest chance of seeing dolphins, Orca and other whales.

A fully refundable $400 deposit is required at the time of booking. Balance is due at the day of the charter. Cash, E-transfer and credit card are all accepted.

Gratuities are not included in pricing.

What to do with your catch

We will clean and bag your catch. You provide the cooler to transport it back with you. There is no charge.

Drop your catch off at St. Jeans for processing. They will vacuum seal fresh fillets or steaks and provide smoking and canning options. They will then ship directly to your home. Visit www.stjeans.com for more information. Processing and shipping usually take 2-3 weeks.

Catch and release. We can usually get pictures and videos of the fish before safely releasing them back into the water.

Gift Certificates

Give the gift of a fishing experience!! Pre-purchase a charter and get a gift certificate to present to the recipient.

The date can be pre-booked or open-ended for the recipient to book the date.
